First Impressions: Prince of Stride Alternative Episodes 1-3

Sports anime usually aren’t my thing.

They’re, from my experiences, normally very predictable.  They don’t create new sports or new worlds, and are far too often defined solely by their character’s experiences of the sport, which simply doesn’t appeal much to me.  It’s just, altogether, not my cup of tea.

But I’m also a sucker for the discipline of Parkour, and specifically, Freerunning.  The idea of acrobatic expression, discipline of mind and body to create something individual out of the world around you.  Flashy, freeing, and captivating, that discipline has always appealed to me.  So when I heard of a sports anime that took inspiration from the practice?

You must understand, Prince of Stride simply captured my interest.

Koi to Uso: Episodes 1-3 First Thoughts!

You know, romance is kind of a luxury, when you think about it.

For the majority of human history, marriage has been decided by outside factors, disregarding “compatibility.”  Status, power, family–all these factors were infinitely more important than “love.”  But recently, compatibility, love, and romance have reigned supreme, the desires of the heart put forth as the most important value.  But even then, it can be hard to know, for certain, whether you and your partner are truly compatible.

So, what if you could know, from the very beginning, that you were with paired with your perfect soulmate?  What if you were automatically paired with the person who, in personality, goals, intelligence, and more, was perfect for you?

My Thoughts on Shingeki no Kyojin Season 2, Episodes 1-6

Don’t worry- no spoilers here.

Well, Attack on Titan’s second season has been going on for quite a while, and there’s still half of it to go!   It’s been alright so far, but there’s honestly a lot more to it than that.  This season has certainly been exciting, but really, has it been meeting expectations?  Does it have that magical, special quality that we’re all looking for?

The answer- maybe.  But you know- it’s not quite like the original.
